Steve McGuinness
Steve McGuinness is an English artist known for his confident use of colour and mixed media.
Steve, whose studio is based in the cathedral city of St Albans just outside London, has been a professional artist - and teacher - for over thirty years.
As well as undertaking individual commissions, Steve exhibits widely in the United Kingdom and abroad - in both private and public collections.
Steve took part in the Herts Open Studio 2009 programme and his work has graced exhibitions in Mallorca's Museu de Soller, the Manchester Art Gallery, the Stockport City Art Gallery, the Castlefield Art Gallery and the Ardeley Art Exhibition.
Steve's Work
Steve's work is currently devoted to the idea of "sense of place" as he responds to the coastal landscape of Norfolk and Ireland.

About Steve
Steve studied drawing and painting in Manchester before completing a teaching degree.
Steve helped to establish the Castlefield Art Gallery and then taught art at The Manchester Grammar School for ten years before spending five years living and working in Palma de Mallorca.
At present Steve is head of art at St Albans High School for Girls and continues to undertake several commissions every year.
